Ryan Advisory

Fractional CFO & finance advisory · Sydney

Senior finance leadership, without the full-time hire.

Ryan Advisory gives growing Australian businesses an experienced CFO for the days they need one. Reporting you can rely on, cash you can see coming, and a finance function ready for investors, lenders and growth.

Services

Three ways to work together

Start where you are. Many clients begin with compliance and step up to a CFO retainer as the business grows, with project work alongside when a specific need comes up.

Foundation

Finance & compliance

For businesses that want reliable books and lodgements handled on a fixed monthly fee.

  • Bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • BAS and IAS preparation
  • Payroll and STP oversight
  • Monthly management accounts

Projects

Scoped engagements

For a defined need, priced as a fixed project or by the day.

  • Capital raising and investor reporting
  • Finance diagnostics and system changes
  • Tax structuring and R&D tax incentive
  • Offshore expansion and transfer pricing

Beyond the numbers

The parts of the business that usually land on the CFO's desk

Smaller businesses rarely have a specialist for every function. These are included in the CFO Partner retainer as named services, not afterthoughts.

Strategy & capital

Funding and growth

Capital structure, debt and equity raising, investor reporting, and support through licensing and funds-management requirements.

People

HR oversight

Payroll controls, employment cost planning, contractor arrangements and policy frameworks, coordinated with your HR providers.

Systems

IT and finance systems

Xero and reporting stack design, access controls and information security, and vendor selection for systems that grow with you.

Review & refer

Risk, insurance and contracts

A finance lens over your insurance programme, key contracts and risk register, with referral to specialist brokers and lawyers where advice is needed.

About

A CFO who has sat in the chair

Robert Ryan spent fourteen years as CFO of Boost Media International, leading finance, tax and corporate matters across multiple jurisdictions. That included share issues, convertible notes and a capital raise: preparing investor materials, running due diligence and data rooms, acting as company secretary and reporting to shareholders.

Before that he was a Senior Manager in the BDO / PKF practice in Sydney. Ryan Advisory brings that experience to businesses that need a senior finance partner but not a full-time executive.
